Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Avala and her partner, Fawazzy, have announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The couple revealed the news in a video shared on Instagram on Thursday, which showed Avala displaying her baby bump as Fawazzy stood beside her smiling.
The announcement comes several months after Fawazzy proposed to Avala in June.
In a video from the proposal shared on Instagram, the couple were surrounded by friends and family as the proposal took place.
Avala captioned the post: “To whom it may concern… No longer available! Yours faithfully, A fiancée!!!!!! 💍🤍”.
Fawazzy also posted a photograph from the proposal with the caption, “She said YES!”
In another post, Avala described their relationship as an “answered prayer” while reflecting on their journey together.
“The crazy thing is the plot got better than I imagined, because somewhere between the waiting and the wondering if I will ever have my own happy ending, God was writing our story,” she wrote.
“If you had told my younger self that one day I’d be loved this gently, I would have laughed at you but now I cry happy tears. Forever looks a lot like answered prayers.
“Baebu … I Love you always and forever locked in.”
Avala participated in the fourth season of Big Brother Naija, titled ‘Pepper Dem’, which aired in 2019.
She was evicted from the reality show during its first week.
The pregnancy announcement has since drawn congratulatory messages from fans and fellow entertainers.
