Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu, joined African and French business and political leaders at the Élysée Palace in Paris for the Africa France Impact Coalition Dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The dinner brought together prominent figures from Africa and France as part of efforts to strengthen ties between both regions through business, investment and private sector partnerships.
Elumelu, who chairs the Africa France Impact Coalition, held discussions with Macron on expanding private sector collaboration and creating more opportunities for young entrepreneurs across Africa.
The gathering also provided a platform for African and French business leaders to interact with political leaders in an informal setting while discussing issues surrounding investment and economic development.
The Africa France Impact Coalition was established to deepen economic relations between France and African countries, with a focus on private sector investment, job creation and opportunities for young Africans.
The coalition comprises business leaders from Africa and France and seeks to encourage companies to increase investments and partnerships across the continent.
The Paris gathering comes weeks after Elumelu ended his 12-year tenure as Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa on August 21, 2026. He was succeeded by Emmanuel Nnorom.
Elumelu currently serves as Chairman of Heirs Holdings and Transcorp Group, while continuing his work in entrepreneurship, investment and economic development across Africa.
