Social media has been buzzing following reports and a viral video capturing residents in Jos, Plateau State, confronting and chasing away an APC campaign vehicle featuring images of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The incident, along with heavy rains toppling a Tinubu re-election billboard in Sagamu, Ogun State on October 13, has observers noting rising rejection of the ruling party ahead of 2027 elections.
The APC counters by pointing to strong support, including thousands of defectors at a recent rally and claims of unprovoked attacks by opponents in Jos. These events highlight a deeply polarized political atmosphere as campaigns heat up.
