The death of Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings has continued to generate reactions following revelations by his personal assistant, Babadunni Gbolabo, about the desperate efforts to save his life before he died in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to reports, Gbolabo disclosed that the late gospel singer had appeared to be in good health before he suddenly collapsed, leaving those around him scrambling to get him urgent medical attention.

Recounting the heartbreaking experience, the personal assistant reportedly explained that he received a distress call about the singer’s condition and immediately rushed to the scene. What followed, however, was a desperate search for a hospital that could provide the medical attention the singer urgently needed.

In his account, the aide alleged that they visited more than seven hospitals in Ibadan but struggled to secure treatment for the singer.

“We took him to several hospitals, but we could not get the medical attention he needed,” Gbolabo reportedly explained, recounting the difficulties they encountered while trying to save the gospel minister.

He further alleged that some of the hospitals they visited were unable to attend to the singer because of the unavailability of doctors, while others reportedly declined to treat him.

The situation reportedly became increasingly distressing as they moved from one facility to another, hoping that someone would intervene and provide the necessary medical care.

According to the account attributed to the aide, the singer had not shown any obvious signs of illness before the sudden incident, making the development particularly shocking to those around him.

Toluwanisings had reportedly ministered at In His Presence, a worship programme hosted by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, shortly before his death.

His sudden passing has since left family members, friends, colleagues and fans mourning the loss of a gospel minister whose music and ministry touched many lives.

The singer’s family confirmed his death in a statement released on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. He was 41 years old and is survived by his wife and children.

Meanwhile, the allegations surrounding the difficulties encountered in obtaining medical treatment have raised concerns about emergency healthcare access and the experiences of patients in critical conditions.

However, the precise circumstances surrounding the alleged hospital refusals and the medical cause of Toluwanisings’ death have not been independently established.
