‘Things are not as bad as portrayed’, Actor Jide Kosoko defends Tinubu

Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu, arguing that the country’s economic conditions are not as severe as they are often portrayed.

In an interview with actress Biola Bayo, Kosoko challenged claims of widespread hunger under the current administration.

“Things aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. I am hungry; check most of those people. Before Tinubu came, what were they eating?” Kosoko said.

The actor admitted the country faces challenges but argued that President Tinubu inherited numerous problems and is working to fix them.

“Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying things are rosy; there are too many issues at hand which Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now fixing,” he stated.

Kosoko urged beneficiaries of the administration’s policies, particularly students, to speak out in support of the President.

He further claimed that Tinubu’s political opponents know the President is on the right track but have let personal ambition cloud their judgment.

“Many of the beneficiaries of what Tinubu is doing for the students should speak out. Tinubu’s opponents know the truth: the man is on the right track, but ambition has clouded their judgment,” he added.
