Egypt has been confirmed as the host country for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The North African nation will stage Africa’s premier women’s club football competition for the second consecutive edition, having also hosted the inaugural tournament in 2021.
Eight clubs from across the continent will compete for the title, with qualification secured through their respective CAF zonal competitions.
Among the confirmed participants are South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, representing COSAFA as two-time champions; Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies, representing CECAFA; Cameroon’s Lekie FF, representing UNIFFAC; and Mali’s USFAS, representing WAFU Zone A.
Morocco will be represented by two clubs. Fath Union Sport (FUS) Rabat qualified through the UNAF qualifiers, while AS FAR Rabat will participate as the defending champions.
Two slots remain unconfirmed. One will be allocated to the representative from WAFU Zone B, while the other will go to Egypt’s representative as the host nation.
The tournament will bring together leading women’s club sides from across Africa to compete for the continent’s premier women’s club football title.
