A pastor based in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Joel Adedeji, has spoken about his alleged involvement in money rituals as a young man, claiming the experience eventually led to the loss of his leg.

Adedeji shared the account during an interview with BBC Yoruba, explaining how he sought spiritual intervention in his pursuit of wealth and a better life.

He said the herbalist he approached instructed him to have s3xual intercourse with a woman of his choice and use a piece of cloth to wipe her private part afterwards.

According to the pastor, he carried out the instruction and began to experience financial prosperity shortly afterwards.

“The baba said I should look for someone I like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once I am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more,” he said.

The pastor said the herbalist gave him additional instructions and warned that he would never be able to use the money to buy a car or build a house.

He disclosed that he enjoyed the wealth for about four to five years before his fortunes began to decline.

Speaking about the accident that led to the loss of his leg, Adedeji said the vehicle involved belonged to him but was being driven by someone he had given money to purchase it.

“Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated,” he recounted.

Adedeji cautioned young people against pursuing quick wealth through questionable means, advising them to remain patient and trust that their opportunities would come at the right time.
