Ned Nwoko backs Regina Daniels amid health concerns, warns against spreading false information

Nigerian billionaire businessman and politician Ned Nwoko has publicly expressed support for his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, amid their ongoing marital crisis and concerns surrounding her health.

Nwoko made the appeal on Monday, November 2, 2026, following widespread reactions on social media after Regina opened up about some of the health challenges she has been experiencing.

Recall that the actress celebrated her 25th birthday on October 10, 2026, and shared a video showing her in a wheelchair, offering fans a glimpse into her health condition.

Her revelation attracted mixed reactions, with several reports and speculations about her condition emerging online. Some social media users also circulated unverified claims about the actress, including fabricated reports announcing her death.

Responding to the development, Nwoko took to his official Instagram page to appeal to Regina’s fans, bloggers and other social media users to respect her privacy and allow her to concentrate on her recovery.

The senator also raised concerns about how the circulating reports could affect Regina and their children, emphasising that she needs love, support and understanding during this period.

In his statement, Nwoko wrote:

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space.

“I make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better.

“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover.

“The video she shared on her birthday gave people a glimpse of some of the health challenges she has been dealing with. As someone who knows what she has been through, I can tell you that this is not a time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens.

“It is a time to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal. Regardless of the difficulties we have faced, her well-being has always mattered to me. It is, in fact, the very concern that brought much of our private situation into the public domain.”

Nwoko also criticised the spread of fabricated stories about Regina, particularly false reports claiming that she had died and misleading claims about her health.

He cautioned bloggers and social media users against using the actress’s situation to generate engagement, noting that such publications were adding to her distress.

The politician further threatened legal action against anyone deliberately spreading false information about his wife.

He added:

“Let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances.

“Those hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement should stop immediately.

“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels.

“There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached. Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day.”

Nwoko’s statement has attracted attention amid the couple’s widely discussed marital disagreement, with many viewing his message as an expression of support for Regina despite their reported differences.
