On-air personality Oladotun Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, has engaged in a heated exchange with an X user over comments concerning the marital lives of the Odukoya family and their parents’ legacy.
The disagreement began on Monday after an X user, identified as Daniel Whalee, commented on the late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya’s dedication to her “Single and Married” ministry as a relationship counsellor and televangelist. He questioned the situation in which two of her children had experienced divorce, while another was allegedly unmarried.
Whalee concluded his post by writing, “This life no balance. Just pray for grace”.
His comments followed the public confirmation of her divorce by Pastor Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, the eldest daughter of the late cleric, during a podcast.
Around the same period, her brother, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, announced that he was beginning a new chapter in his life following the end of his first marriage. He subsequently introduced his new wife to members of the congregation at Fountain of Life Church.
Responding to Whalee’s post, Do2dtun disputed his claims, noting that the youngest sibling, Tobi, was still married and had three children.
The media personality maintained that the marital challenges or personal decisions of an individual should not be used to assess their parents’ accomplishments or family legacy. He stressed that everyone has a different life journey and should not be judged or ridiculed based on their circumstances.
The disagreement later escalated into a public exchange, with both men trading harsh words.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Pastor Tolu nor Pastor Jimmy had publicly reacted to the dispute.
