Jude Bellingham has marked his younger brother Jobe’s first senior England call-up by sharing a nostalgic photograph of the pair as children on his Instagram Story.
The gesture came shortly after England manager Thomas Tuchel unveiled his 25-man squad on Friday for the Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.
Jobe, a 21-year-old midfielder at Borussia Dortmund, earned his maiden senior call-up following a series of impressive performances in the Bundesliga.
Jude has previously spoken about his desire to play alongside his younger brother for England, describing it as the ultimate dream of his life. With Jobe now included in the national team squad, that possibility is closer to becoming a reality.
If Jobe makes his senior debut during the international break, the brothers will become the 22nd set of siblings to represent England at senior level. They would also be the first brothers to play together for the national team since Gary and Phil Neville.
Speaking at his press conference, Tuchel disclosed that England Under-21 manager Lee Carsley had been recommending Jobe for several months.
The England manager also praised the simultaneous progress of the brothers, describing their rise as an incredible story for the Bellingham family and a reflection of their footballing ability.
Since making his England debut in November 2020 at the age of 17, Jude has established himself as a key member of the national team, featuring prominently in major international tournaments.
At Real Madrid, he has continued to produce impressive performances, contributing to the team’s midfield play with important goals and assists.
Jobe, meanwhile, has continued to develop in the Bundesliga, attracting praise for his composure, physical strength and ability to contribute across the pitch.
With both brothers playing in Europe’s top leagues, Jobe’s inclusion in the England squad marks a significant moment for the Bellingham family and raises the prospect of the siblings representing their country together.
