‘I didn’t lie about my health issues’ — Blessing CEO apologises over cancer saga, offers donor refunds

The Nigerian influencer, Blessing CEO, has issued an apology over her claim of having stage four cancer, maintaining that she did not lie about her “health issue”.

The controversy began in January when she announced she had cancer, sharing what she described as a medical report while also seeking financial assistance.

However, Xinus Medical Diagnostics later challenged the claim, alleging that the report had been altered and originally belonged to Deborah Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor, dating back to May 2025.

Mbara subsequently explained how Blessing allegedly obtained her report, prompting her family to petition the EFCC over claims of cyberbullying, forgery, and fraud.

The petition alleged that Blessing raised over N300 million under false pretences, while the Nigerian Cancer Society also called for an investigation into the matter.

In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Blessing, who recently returned to social media following public backlash, pledged to be more open about her medical records going forward.

She insisted that her health claims are genuine and promised to share her scan and biopsy results while keeping the public updated.

“I am sorry for the unnecessary drama, embarrassment, and controversy surrounding my health issues. I sincerely apologise. Going forward, I promise to be transparent with all my medical reports, including my scans and biopsy results,” she said.

“Please be patient with me, as I will take you along on this journey, just like I did during my liposuction and BBL journey. I did not lie about my health issues. I will start by officially uploading my scan results and biopsy details and keep you all informed every step of the way.”

She added that she is ready to refund individuals who feel uncomfortable with the situation, asking them to provide proof of payment and their account details.

“Thank you so much for all the love and well wishes. To well-meaning Nigerians who contributed towards my health, I am deeply grateful and do not take your support for granted,” she added.

“To those who feel uncomfortable with the controversies, I am willing to offer refunds. Kindly send a WhatsApp message or DM with your receipt and account details, and you will be refunded.

“Thank you all. Remain blessed. I still ask for your prayers, please ask God to perfect everything that concerns me.”

In a separate series of posts, she shared a video of herself undergoing an MRI scan, alongside images of her swollen hand, explaining that it had endured repeated procedures.

“My hands have been through a lot due to repeated punctures while trying to access my veins,” she said.
