The primary election was held on Saturday at the ward APC secretariat, located in the home ward of the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin.

In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Barau described the large turnout of party members as an encouraging sign for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“With the massive turnout of party members, Insha Allah, the coast is clear for the victory of President Tinubu come January 16th, 2027, when the Independent National Electoral Commission will conduct the presidential and National Assembly elections,” he said.

The statement further revealed that the ward’s returning officer, Umar Mohammadu Rabiu, announced Tinubu as the winner after defeating his only opponent, Osifo Osayamen Stanley, who failed to secure a single vote.
