The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 25 chairmanship seats in the just-concluded Niger State Local Government Council elections.
The Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC) confirmed the results, describing the polls as “credible, transparent, and reflective of the people’s will.”
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Operations, Mohammed Liman, NSIEC said all Returning Officers had completed collation and declaration of results in accordance with the Electoral Law and the Commission’s guidelines.
“After a careful review, the Commission approved and ratified the results, confirming the duly elected chairmen and councillors who met all legal requirements,” Liman stated.
