Nigeria leads Grenada citizenship applications in Q4 2025

The Investment Migration Agency (IMA) of Grenada has disclosed that Nigeria recorded the highest number of citizenship applications to the Caribbean nation in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Data released in the agency’s Q4 report showed that Nigerians accounted for 16 percent of all applications submitted year-to-date, representing the largest share among applicant countries.

China ranked second with 12 percent, followed by Iraq at nine percent, the United States at seven percent, and Pakistan at five percent.

Egypt, India, Lebanon, Vietnam and Turkey each contributed three percent of total applications. South Africa and Syria also posted three percent each, while the United Kingdom (UK), Ukraine, Algeria, the Philippines, Myanmar and Uzbekistan accounted for two percent each. Applications from other countries collectively made up 19 percent of the total.

In the fourth quarter alone, Grenada received 128 applications and processed 161. Out of the processed applications, 154 were approved while seven were rejected.

The agency further noted that 99 individuals were granted citizenship during the quarter, bringing the cumulative total for the year to 1,124 new citizens.

Grenada operates a citizenship-by-investment programme that enables foreign nationals to acquire citizenship through approved investments, such as contributions to the National Transformation Fund or real estate ventures.

Holders of Grenadian passports enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more than 140 countries, including nations within the Schengen Area and the United Kingdom.
