Civil servants in Osun State on Monday trooped out in their numbers at the state secretariat in Abere to celebrate Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the just-concluded governorship election.
A video shared on X by user @DukeofOsun showed workers dancing and celebrating within the secretariat premises as excitement over the governor’s re-election spread across the state.
The development adds to the wave of celebrations witnessed in different parts of Osun following the announcement of the election results.
Adeleke was declared the winner of the poll ahead of his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Since the declaration, supporters of the governor, party loyalists and residents have continued to celebrate the outcome, with dancing and street gatherings reported across the state.
The scenes at the secretariat have now added civil servants to the growing list of groups publicly celebrating Adeleke’s return for another term.
