Arsenal are concerned that defender Ben White may be sidelined for at least a month after picking up a hamstring injury during their victory over Wolves, according to BBC Sport.
The club is still waiting for definitive results on the severity of White’s muscle problem, but early indications suggest he could be unavailable for four to six weeks.
The 28-year-old England international was forced off in the 31st minute of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, with Myles Lewis-Skelly coming on to slot into the back four. After the match, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the issue appeared to be a hamstring injury.
White’s potential absence, having featured 11 times this season for the Premier League leaders, adds to Arsenal’s defensive injury concerns ahead of a demanding run of four matches in 10 days.
Gabriel Magalhaes is already out after suffering an abductor injury while on international duty with Brazil, an issue expected to keep him sidelined until the end of the year.
Another defender, Cristhian Mosquera, is also unavailable after sustaining an ankle injury, with a return not anticipated until mid-January 2026.
There was some positive news at the weekend, with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber returning to the centre of Arsenal’s defence following their own recent injury setbacks.
Arsenal face Everton away in the Premier League on Saturday before hosting Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on 23 December.
Arteta’s team, currently two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, will then welcome Brighton and Aston Villa to the Emirates on 27 and 30 December respectively.
