Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, by ₦30, bringing the new price from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre. This change became effective on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

In a statement, the refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said the price drop is part of the company’s commitment to “national development” and to ensure a “consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products.”

The statement also announced that starting August 15, 2025, the refinery will begin a phased rollout of “4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria.”

This move is described as being in line with the company’s “dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions.”
