Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, on Monday dismissed monopoly claims as the company deployed 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks in Lagos.
Speaking at a press briefing, Dangote revealed the group had invested ₦2 trillion in trucks and logistics, adding that the new fleet would ease transport and stabilise fuel supply.
He stressed that the initiative had already created 24,000 jobs with salaries four times the minimum wage. By November, he said, the number of CNG trucks in operation would reach 10,250.
Dangote further disclosed plans to roll out electric vehicles by January 2026, while positioning Nigeria to become the world’s largest fertiliser producer.
The newly acquired trucks began loading petroleum products at the Dangote Refinery on Monday for direct supply to filling stations nationwide.
