The United States dollar traded at an official exchange rate of approximately ₦1,358.63 per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Trading in the official forex window opened at around ₦1,365.69 per dollar, before the currency moved between ₦1,356.61 and ₦1,361.25 per dollar during early market sessions.

In the parallel market, also known as the black market, the dollar exchanged for about ₦1,400 per dollar. Bureau de Change operators in key commercial hubs, including Lagos and Abuja, reported steady market activity and limited price fluctuations, keeping rates close to recent levels.

The narrowing gap between the official and parallel market rates reflects relative stability in Nigeria’s foreign exchange market. Analysts linked the development to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s monetary policy measures, improved liquidity management and continued efforts to strengthen foreign exchange reserves.

Market participants and businesses continue to watch demand trends closely, as import activities and international payments remain major factors influencing daily foreign exchange transactions.
