The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has inaugurated the country’s first non-oil export processing terminal in Ibeshe-Ikorodu, Lagos State.
EssLibra Terminal is the name given to the Ibeshe-Ikorodu facility. The EssLibra Terminal is an integrated logistics off-dock terminal capable of handling all export activities such as stuffing, on-site customs clearance, and barging.
According to the agency, the terminal is 120,000 square meters (sqm) in size and includes an export processing zone, trailer park, RoRo facility, and fuel dump.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Mr Mohammed Bello-Koko, Managing Director of NPA, urged all agencies involved in the export processing value chain to deploy adequate personnel and collaborate to ensure efficiency and quick turnaround in the processing of export cargoes.
