Global financial institution, the World Bank and the United States Export-Import Bank (EximBank) have committed $3 billion in investment to Nigeria’s energy transition plan.

The organisations made the commitment on Wednesday at the official launching of the plan by Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s vice president.

Nigeria is expected to achieve universal access to energy by 2030 and a carbon-neutral energy system by 2060 while accelerating economic growth and development.
