VIDEO: Access Bank office in Lagos guts fire

There was pandemonium on Wednesday morning at Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos where an Access Bank office caught fire.
According to reports, a truck loaded with 33,000 litres of Diesel burst into flame while dispensing fuel for the uses of generators in the bank premises.
No life was lost but several workers and customer of the bank sustained various degrees of injury as they rushed to get out of the bank which was filled with smoke.
Social and commercial activities in the highbrow neighbourhood was disrupted for hours as people abandoned their offices and homes for fear that the fire may escalate.
The fire from the tanker marked AKD 637 XP consumed a car with registration number AKD 234 FA  parked within the bank premises.
However, combined intervention of the emergency responders including LASEMA Response Team, Eko Hotel, LASG fire, UBA Fire Service prevented the inferno from escalating further into the bank building.
Director General of LASEMA, Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed it and said damping down was ongoing at press time.
