A High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has sentenced Telma Bestman and Wilson Okelekele to death by hanging for plotting to assassinate Bestman Wagbara.
Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu, the trial Judge, delivered judgement, ruling that the prosecution had proven the case of conspiracy and murder against the defendant.
The court ruled that Telma actually conspired with Okelekele to kill her husband, Bestman, as it was revealed that she opened the back door leading to the main entrance to the husbands room to aide Okelekele, who was a security guard, to commit the act.
The judge said the convicts should be hanged on their necks.until they are confirmed dead.
Telma on the 13th of February, 2020, conspired with their security guard and murdered her husband Wagbara at their residence along Saint John axis of Rumuolumeni -Ogbogoro link Road.
