Customs hand over 665 pieces of donkey skins, indian hemp in Kano

The Kano Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, 0n Thursday, transferred 665 pieces of donkey skins to Dr. Adamu Gano, the North-West Coordinator of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services.

The NCS also transferred 450 blocks of compressed Indian hemp to the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and 1,290 cartons of unregistered pharmaceutical products to the State Coordinator of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the event, held at Customs House in Bompai, marked a significant milestone in the collaborative endeavors of the organizations to combat illegal activities and protect public health.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dauda Chana, the Comptroller of Customs for Kano State Command, emphasized the ongoing success of their collaborative efforts.

“The successful coordination and cooperation between our organisation and our esteemed partner agencies exemplify our shared dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all citizens.”

“We remain resolute in our commitment to eradicating illegal activities that pose a threat to our society,” Chana said.

Spokespersons from different organizations commended the assistance provided by the NCS and called for ongoing collaboration among agencies to tackle the existing intricate challenges.
