A palpable sense of tension surrounds the Ipole farm settlement in Agbado-Ekiti, Ayekire Local Government Area, following reports that Sunday Alabi, a deaf and mute individual, allegedly beheaded Sikiru, also known as Badoo.
Reports state that the deaf and mute individual had entered Sikiru’s farm with the intention of pilfering maize. When confronted by Sikiru, the suspect assaulted him with a machete, nearly decapitating him.

The assailant swiftly fled the scene, leaving the victim in a pool of blood until other farmers discovered him and reported the incident to the police.
Upon inquiry, DSP Sunday Abutu, the spokesperson for the Ekiti Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect had been apprehended.
