Suspected bandits have shot and killed Akinola Oyabiyi, a private health worker, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The 46-year-old father of four was attacked around 8 pm on Tuesday in Oba-Ile, near Akure Airport, while driving home.

According to a family source, he was shot before he could attempt to escape from his vehicle.
Residents of the area are on edge, as the incident follows the recent abduction of four students from the Federal College of Agriculture in the same vicinity.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the attack, stating that investigations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
