Iduh Hausa, a man from Umunede in Delta State’s Ika North East Local Government Area, is said to have shot dead his brother-in-law over alleged infidelity.
According to reports, that the incident, which happened in Ileje, Umunede, threw the community into mourning.
According to a source, the incident caused tension in the community.
“Mr Iduh Hausa shot his brother-in-law to death just because he (suspect) claimed that the man was dating another lady.
“He said the brother-in-law was cheating on his sister,” he added.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect was at large.
He said, “Yes, it is confirmed; we have not arrested the suspect; he’s still at large. Effort is ongoing to arrest him wherever he is hiding.”
