The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the successful neutralization of several bandits, including key associates of notorious bandit leaders Dan-Isuhu and Dogo Sule, through targeted airstrikes in Zamfara State.

The Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, disclosed this in a statement, revealing that the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji conducted air interdiction missions on Friday, November 15, in Babban Kauye village, located in Tsafe Local Government Area.

Key Targets Neutralized
According to Akinboyewa, the airstrikes targeted a large gathering of bandits who, according to intelligence reports, were planning coordinated attacks on military personnel and civilians in the Tsafe axis.

“Upon receiving credible intelligence, the NAF launched a series of devastating airstrikes, inflicting significant casualties on the criminal elements,” he stated.

Ground reports confirmed that the strikes eliminated numerous high-ranking members of the bandit factions, significantly weakening their operational capabilities.

Banditry Hotspot
Tsafe Local Government Area has been a long-standing hotspot for bandit activities, with factions loyal to Dan-Isuhu and Dogo Sule infamously orchestrating violent attacks on communities, security forces, and infrastructure.

Akinboyewa added that remote settlements like Babban Kauye have served as strategic safe havens for these groups, allowing them to coordinate and launch their operations.

The latest airstrikes represent a significant step in disrupting the bandits’ activities and reinforcing the military’s resolve to curb insecurity in the region.
