The Kaduna State Police Command reported that its personnel apprehended four individuals in possession of 50kg of Indian hemp at Unguwar Mai Hayi in Makarfi.
According the Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Mansur Hassan, a firearm was seized from the alleged drug dealers during a raid by the operatives.
Hassan stated on Tuesday in Kaduna that the arrest was made based on actionable intelligence provided by a concerned community member on December 4th.
“On getting the information, our operatives mobilised to the area where four suspects were arrested and one locally made gun recovered in the house,” he added.
However, Hassan mentioned that the police are actively pursuing the main suspect.
The spokesperson for the command stated that the four suspects will face prosecution once the ongoing investigation is concluded.
