The Police in Adamawa State have verified nabbing a 36-year-old man, Jaafar Adamu, on charges of allegedly raping his neighbor’s wife in Hong Local Government Area.
This information was provided in an announcement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, in Yola on Wednesday.
Yahaya-Nguroje stated that the arrest took place on September 15th.
He further explained that the suspect, while wearing a face mask, allegedly assaulted the 23-year-old wife of his neighbor in Angwan Diocese Kala’a, located in Hong Town.
“Unfortunately for him, upon committing the act, his face mask fell off and was recognized by the victim. He escaped but has been apprehended,” he said.
He mentioned that the police are presently looking into the case and assured that appropriate legal action will be taken.
