A man opened fire inside a Jacksonville Dolla General Store in the state of Florida, United States, killing three people.

T.K. Waters, the Sheriff of Jacksonville County, verified the victims were all black during a press conference. “This shooting was racially motivated, and he hated Black people,” the Black sheriff said during a press conference. “He wanted to kill n——.”

Waters said the suspected shooter sent a manifesto which detailed his racial hatred to law enforcement, media, and his parents.

The sheriff’s office subsequently said the suspected shooter was among the dead.
