Troops from the Nigerian Army assigned for counter-terrorism operations in the North-East killed two terrorists on their way to attack Mashurori village in Borno State.
According to a statement released on Monday by the Department of Army Public Relations, the achievement was accomplished in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force during a clearance operation.
Responding to genuine intelligence about terrorists moving into the community, he stated that they set up an ambush to intercept the terrorists.
During the firefight, two AK-47 weapons, two magazines, 58 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a terrorist-used motorbike were found.
The troops also discovered levy tickets and N60,000 cash, which are thought to be related to the terrorists’ illegal extortion activities.
