A wife in a fit of rage severed her husband’s penis after he reportedly uttered another woman’s name during intercourse.

The incident took place at their home last week, where the husband allegedly moaned the other woman’s name during their intimate moment.

His enraged 55-year-old wife waited until he fell asleep, then reportedly retrieved a 10-inch knife from the kitchen and carried out the act.

Police released images showing the severed tip and part of the shaft on the mattress, with traces of blood.

Upon hearing the man’s screams, neighbors rushed to his aid and took him to the hospital.

The incident occurred in Baguio City, Philippines, where police promptly arrested the wife, who made no attempt to flee.

A spokesman for the Baguio City Police Station said: ‘Allegedly, the reason was jealousy, because the wife claimed her husband was a womaniser.

Police recovered the bloodstained knife and the severed penis from the site.

According to local media, medical professionals attempted to reattach the penis without success.

Meanwhile, authorities detained the wife at the Baguio City Police Station on suspicion of mutilation.

Police also released a mugshot of the woman, dressed in pink Mickey Mouse pajamas.

The enraged wife informed the police: ‘My husband was saying his mistress’s name, not mine. I was influenced by alcohol, but I knew what I was doing.

‘He knows that he is also at fault. He shouldn’t try to deny it, he shouldn’t try to lie that hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s so obvious, because I see it.’

The wife added that she had been trying to charge the man with adultery, but lacked the evidence to do so.

Police said she will be charged for mutilation. In the Philippines, the offence carries a penalty of between 12 to 40 years in prison.
