President Buhari hosted the Katsina State Senior Citizen’s Forum in his Daura Home on 18th February 2018.
The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk and the Galadima of Katsina and former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir were among those who attended the meeting.
One of the citizens, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, told journalists that the meeting was to show their solidarity and full support to the President.
He said: “Of course, some of the senior citizens who had been opportune to serve the country and are now retired also came to assure him that they will use all their connections to get more support for him”
Masari also said that the senior citizens and the opinion leaders were at the meeting to show solidarity and to also identify with the President’s hopes and aspirations.
