As part of efforts to make tertiary education more accessible across the country, the Federal Government has approved three new Federal Polytechnics.
The polytechnics will be sited in Umunnoechi, Abia State, Orogun Delta State, and Kabo in Kano State.

According to Ben Bem Goong, Director, Federal Ministry of Education, Press and Public Relations, the new institutions will begin academic activities in October 2022.
This takes the country’s total number of Federal Polytechnics to 36.
Each of the federations’ states now has its own Federal Polytechnic.
