The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit.
Additionally, results for underage candidates, those with substandard performances, and individuals involved in misconduct like ‘WhatsApp Runs’ have been released, except for cases under litigation.
In a statement on Sunday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, shared that the decision followed a meeting of the Board’s Chief External Examiners across the federation. Of the 336,845 candidates scheduled for the resit, 21,082 were marked absent.

Option 1: Via SMS

- Send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used for registration.
- Results will be sent as a text message.
Expected Responses:
- Registered Number: If the phone number was used for registration, the result details will be shared.
- Unregistered Number: A message will notify the user that the number wasn’t used for registration.
- Withheld Results: A “Result Withheld” message will be sent.
- Pending Clarifications: “Result withheld pending upload of clarifications/documents required.”
- Absent Candidates: Feedback will read “CANDIDATE ABSENT.”
- Unauthorized Access: Candidates who accessed the exam hall unlawfully will receive “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall.”
Option 2: Online Portal
- Visit JAMB eFacility Portal.
- Log in with the email and password used during UTME registration.
- Click the Check UTME Results tab to view your scores.
This SMS and online system remain the only official methods to access UTME results at this time.
