FUTA students protest hike in tuition fee

On Monday, students at the Federal University of Technology in Akure, FUTA,  Ondo, protested the school administration’s decision to raise tuition prices.

The students said the school increased the fees by over 300 per cent.

Protesters gathered in front of the main gate of the school, chanting various solidarity songs and impeding human and vehicular movement onto campus.

They insisted that management must return to the status quo ante.
