Girl, 14, emerges Abia State’s One Day Governor
Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on Monday sworn in Miss Joy Ezechikamnayo as the first one day Governor of Abia.
The 14-year-old, who is the senior prefect of Intellectual Giants Christian Academy, Umuahia emerged as the top performer after a rigorous essay competition that lasted over a week.
Ezechikamnayo will preside over the affairs of state alongside members of her executive council drawn from all the Local Government Areas of Abia State.
While performing her first official assignment, Chikamnayo declared December 12th teenager day in the state.
Born 18th March 2003, Joy Ezechikamnayo is among the 20 top performers in the essay competition. The top three performers in the essay are designated as Governor, Deputy Governor, and SSG respectively while the other 17 are Commissioners
It will be recalled that Abia State maintained the top position in West Africa School Certificate Examinations for the third consecutive year.
Students of Abia State Educational system are also remarkable top performance award winners at various international tertiary institutions including Europe and USA.
