JAMB set to release 2024 UTME results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to release the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will conduct a press briefing in Abuja on Monday to discuss the release of the results and other pertinent issues, as announced in a notice distributed to journalists in the city.

The announcement was provided by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.

It appears that the results being released on Monday will only include those of candidates who took the UTME in the initial days of testing, with the remainder to be released following “due diligence.”

The board previously explained that the decision to hold back the results for a few days was to ensure they could thoroughly review them.

This careful scrutiny is intended to uphold the credibility and integrity of the results, aiming to eliminate any doubts related to issues like impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other exam malpractices.

Over the past week, more than 1.9 million candidates have registered for the 2024 UTME at over 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide.

The 2024 examination, which began on Friday, April 19, 2024, is scheduled to conclude today.
