The Ondo State government has ordered the indefinite closure of St. Louis Primary School over what it described as failure to comply with regulatory requirements.

The directive was issued by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, on behalf of the state government. The affected school is located in Ondo West Local Government Area.

According to the commissioner, the action followed the school’s “persistent non-compliance and flagrant disregard” for state guidelines regulating the operation of private educational institutions.

He explained that the decision aligns with the government’s ongoing commitment to ensure that all private schools function strictly within the legal and regulatory framework of Ondo State.

Prof. Ajibefun stressed that the closure will remain in force until the school fully complies with government regulations and formally recognises the state’s oversight authority.

He added that the state government remains steadfast in its determination to maintain and enforce educational standards across Ondo State.
