Controversial Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem asserts that 2Face, also known as 2Baba, largely owes his career achievements to his former bandmate,Blackface.
He stated that the leader of the now-disbanded Plantashun Boiz,Blackface, played a pivotal role in bringing 2Baba into the spotlight.
The seasoned singer made a guest appearance on the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel (Nedu), Deity Cole, and Husband Material.
Speaking in Pidgin, Abdulkareem said, “Most of the things wey 2face be today, na Blackface make am happen.”
Newsclick recalls that Blackface, 2Baba (then known as 2Face), and Faze were formerly part of the band Plantashun Boiz. The group disbanded after their split, leading each member to embark on their individual solo careers.
In numerous interviews, Blackface has accused 2Face of causing their separation and alleged that 2Face plagiarized his hit song ‘African Queen.’
