‘A Tribe Called Judah’ Nets ₦1.4 Billion at Nigerian Box Office

Since the blockbuster ‘A Tribe Called Judah‘ premiere in December, the film has amassed an impressive ₦1,401,483,233 in total earnings.

Funke Akindele’s comedic masterpiece, “A Tribe Called Judah,” has raked in a staggering ₦1.4 billion at the Nigerian box office to date.

The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria’s report on Monday, February 19, 2024, reveals that “A Tribe Called Judah” earned ₦6 million from February 9 to 15, 2024, adding up to a total gross of ₦1,401,483,233.

In its 10th week at Nigerian cinemas since the December 15, 2023 debut, “A Tribe Called Judah” holds the title of the highest-grossing Nigerian movie. It has also earned ₦144 million in the UK cinemas, with producers soon releasing figures for francophone countries.

However, the Akindele all-star film no longer holds the top position as the most-viewed Nigerian movie at the cinemas, with The Silent Intruder claiming the lead.

Following closely is Deyemi Okanlawon’s film “All’s Fair In Love,” securing the fourth position on last week’s box office charts. This romantic release on Valentine’s Day has currently earned a gross of ₦27 million.

Securing the seventh spot is “Meeting Funmi’s Parents,” starring big-screen luminaries Omowunmi Dada and Timini Egbuson. With an extra ₦4.9 million in earnings last week, the movie’s total gross now stands at ₦29,510,385.
