Actress Jumoke Aderounmu reportedly passes away
A shocking tragedy has struck the Nigerian film industry once more with the reported death of Nollywood actress Aderounmu Adejumoke.
The actress was said to have passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, however as of the time this report was filed, the public still does not know the cause of her death.
Filmmaker and founder of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Seun Oloketuyi announced her passing in an Instagram post on Monday, April 8.
The recurring part that Aderounmu Adejumoke played in the Jennifer’s Diary film trilogy helped to further establish her fame as a remarkable actress.
In addition to Jennifer’s Diary, Adejumoke starred in the highly successful Alakada film directed by Toyin Abraham.
It has never been established that the 37-year-old actress was married or even had children in her lifetime. Since most people only knew her from her career, the majority of her personal life was kept secret.
When Aderounmu Adejumoke wasn’t on screen, she was essentially off the grid. She led a fairly quiet life with no history of controversy. Adejumoke’s remarkable ability to stay relevant in the film industry without raising any eyebrows helped her preserve her reputation.
