The Nigerian actress Peggy Ovire responded to a post on Instagram whereby the user claimed that she coerced her spouse Frederick Leonard into marriage.
A blogger made a suggestion about the couple’s purported breakup on Monday.
However, a woman on Instagram claimed in the comment section that Ovire forced Leonard to marry her.
“Who does not know that when a man is being forced into something, e no dey last,” the IG user wrote.
In response, the actress shared a screenshot of the comment on her Instastory on Tuesday, stating it amused her.
She said she is a confident and independent woman who would not need to resort to such.
She also advised the IG user to value herself and stop tearing other women down.
“This got me laughing hard, Peggy! Beauty, brain, & her own bag. Forced my husband to marry me, You do not know me oh, full urhobo girl, stop the hate,” she wrote.
“I am always in my quiet lane, It is not my fault that your father did not teach you how to place value on yourself, I know you still have a crush on him, No vex na, but tearing your fellow woman on socials, is you undermining the power of a quiet woman.”
