Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, expressed his belief that the acclaimed Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, is worthy of a national honour.
This statement was made on Tuesday in response to the singer’s performance at the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

In a sequence of Instagram posts, Doyle characterized Alade as Nigeria’s most prominent cultural ambassador, emphasizing that she merits a national honour.
Sharing the clip of her performance, he wrote; “Behold, Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador. Yemi Alade is nothing short of a national treasure, she deserves a national honour.”
According to reports, Yemi Alade delivered a performance at the opening ceremony of the AFCON tournament in Abidjan on Saturday.
