The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) president, Mike Dada, is grieving the loss of his wife, Modupe Temitope Dada.
According to reports, she died at Dutchess International Hospital in Lagos on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 48, following a brief illness.
Dada expressed his deep sadness to the public in a heartfelt statement posted on his Instagram page.
He wrote:
“It is with immeasurable grief that the Dada family confirms the passing of our wife and sister, Modupe Temitope Dada, aka Dupsy, Mama Africa, at Dutchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
“A true and loving wife and mother indeed. She lived her life in the banking and entertainment industry and brought to us the affection and compassion that we have come to love so much.
“The family submits to the will of the Almighty God and asks for prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time. She always put her family and Africa first. Her passing has left a void that will be impossible to fill.”
