Famed Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY Comedian, recently discussed the impact of his support for Peter Obi in the 2023 elections on his life.
During his AY Live show, the comedian expressed no regrets for endorsing Peter Obi’s presidential aspirations. However, he revealed that he faced challenges following his support for Obi.
AY disclosed that he experienced personal setbacks, including losing his home, encountering a significant feud with Davido and Seun Kuti, and facing strains in his marriage.
To emphasize his point, AY Makun called out former Kogi state gubernatorial candidate, Dino Melaye, who was present at the event. He observed that prior to the elections, Melaye was vocal and outspoken on governmental matters. However, following his electoral defeat in Kogi state, Melaye has adopted a quieter stance and refrains from making controversial statements.
Recalling the lead-up to the 2023 elections, AY Makun hosted Peter Obi for an Instagram Live interview.
During the interview, the presidential hopeful outlined his plans for the entertainment industry and the youth population had he emerged victorious in the elections.
