The renowned American actor Matthew Perry, celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Chandler Bing in the beloved 1990s show ‘Friends,’ has passed away.
As reported by TMZ, the 54-year-old Perry was discovered deceased in a jacuzzi at a residence in the Los Angeles area on Saturday. His cause of death appears to be drowning, according to the publication.
TMZ also stated that their insider information affirms the absence of drugs at the location, and there are no suspicions of foul play in his unfortunate passing.
Perry shared the screen with his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer in the immensely popular TV series ‘Friends.’ His outstanding performance in the show even earned him an Emmy nomination in 2002.
