Arts Festival: Ex-student, Mr Macaroni praises PEFTI, donates N500,000
Actor and social media comedian, Adebowale Adedayo, aka Mr Macaroni, has commended the management of the PEFTI Film Institute for its role in training several creative talents in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Macaroni, who is a former student of the institute, stated this during the PEFTI Arts Festival. He also donated N500,000 to the institute as a show of appreciation for what he gained as a student there in 2011.
“I learnt so much while at PEFTI, and that is why I decided to make this donation so as to help other young creative talents at the institute,” he said.
On her part, the Managing Director of PEFTI, Abiola Adenuga, said, “We are pleased with this kind gesture by Mr. Macaroni. PEFTI is proud of everything he has achieved since he graduated (from the institute). We also appreciate two other celebrities who attended – Judith Audu (producer of ‘Just Not Married’, ‘Rattlesnake’, ‘Blood Sisters’ and ‘The King’s Horseman’) and Kayode Kasum, who graduated from PEFTI in 2011 and has gone on to direct movies such as ‘Fate of Alakada’, ‘Quam’s Money’, ‘Soole’, and ‘Sugar Rush’.”
PEFTI was established in 2004 and it offers training programmes in courses such as film and television production, music technology, scriptwriting, directing and cinematography.
