Nollywood comedian, actor, and director Ayodeji Richard Makun, better known by his stage name AY Comedian, has expressed dissatisfaction with his colleagues’ lack of support.
Ayo Makun’s much awaited movie, The Waiter, was released on the big screen a few days ago. Actors Regina Daniels, Seyi Okanlawon, Toke Makinwa, Ayo Makun, and others are featured in the movie.
The father of two used his Instagram account and the microblogging site X to bemoan the lack of support from his fellow males after the film’s response and apparent low attendance.
Although males also put a lot of effort into staying relevant and doing their duties, Ayo Makun bemoaned the fact that men only support entities with “breasts and yansh.”
He bragged about being the only man left in filmmaking who has not given up and vows to continue pushing his movie personally. Sharing a screenshot of his tweet on his Instagram page, AY Comedian wrote:
“One day man go tell man “wetin man do man”. We work so hard to stay relevant and take care of our responsibilities. Must we have breast and yansh to have the support of our fellow men?
I am still the only man left in the business of filmmaking who is yet to give it all up. THE WAITER is a beautiful movie. I will continue to PERSONALLY push it with my full chest in cinemas nationwide. I am too legit to quit.”
